Biography

Megan began her musical journey at the age of six when she began piano lessons and singing in school. Since then her love for music has only expanded. Megan grew up playing the piano, saxophone, singing in choir and performing as a soloist. She went onto receive a B.A. in Music Education and Vocal Performance at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. She also is a candidate for a M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA. Megan has had extensive experience as an educator having taught band, award-winning choirs, and music to grades Kindergarten-Twelve. She has had a consistently growing clientele in her private voice studio since she began teaching in the Bay Area six years ago. She also enjoys vocal directing for various musicals in the bay area. Some of the shows she has music/vocal directed are: "The King and I", "Working", "Once on This Island", "Leader of the Pack, "The Wiz" and "Heidi". Along with being an educator, she has a great passion for singing and has recently performed with Mission City Opera and San Jose Lyric Theatre in various shows. Megan is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, California Music Educators Association and The National Association for Music Education.
